The power of rain

what? In the blogpost before I spoke about winning energy for charging cars in a whole different way. As I was searching for a new coolhunt I also saw the next new manner to generate energy in a more sustainable way then we do now. We are already using the wind and the sun for our energy, why not use the rain either? The problem with solar or wind energy is that if there is no wind or sun there also won’t be energy. But if there is no sun or wind there can be rain though. So let’s use that source to generate energy. There are scientist busy developing graphene solar panels which can also generate energy with raindrops. Graphene is the main key to this wonder. They use graphene sheets to separate the positively charged ions in the raindrops and turn these into electrical energy.

Why? So maybe, the city of the future can be lighten up by raindrops, wouldn’t that be cool? But we cannot yell to early because at this point it is just a concept still in a testing phase. But if it will workout it will also influence the way we live in the future. Because almost in every weather stage there can be energy generated out of this weather. If we are far enough developing this way of generating energy we might not have to use the earth’s sources to live on. And that is the way to live we are searching for. Because the sources which the earth produces for us are getting empty which means that over about 54 to 61 years there will be no more gas and oil for us.
