What? Ikea came up with a new app. It makes the contact moment witch Ikea a little longer as usual. You see the kitchen on the spread in the catalogue, you scan it with the app on your phone press the button and ‘walk around’ in the kitchen. Second screen programs still have a long way to go but they are getting there. As you may have noticed you see them upcoming. Witch this app from Ikea you can get this 360 degree look in the rooms you see on paper. Even though it might seem a little too much it is really helpful to see and feel what`s on paper. And then it is much more easy to imagine if you what the stuff for your own home.

Why? It makes you feel more rich. Because you don’t just go through the catalogue but you `walk` trough the rooms you see on paper. It also gives us the feeling of creating a community because you feel so close to what you see on paper and also closer to Ikea and what they want to give you. What also makes it really cool is that the consumer can give a better feedback. Because they really experience it and can judge a lot better than when they just go through it on paper. I think it really fits in the trend virtually and involvement. This because Ikea really involves the costumers in their kitchen or home. ​
