Live safer by Phillips
What? Phillips is a company busy in the sector technology. As you may know the develop tv’s, sound systems etc. they are also doing some work for the sector health. I found a really cool gadget. Phillips developed a lifeline. It’s one of those lifesaving gadget line you already know but this one is of course a little more special. It has a gps on it so it can detect when you fall down or something. And when you do fall there goes a sign to the person you installed to help you. A voice asks you if you are okay if you don’t respond there is coming someone to you or 911 is called. this lifeline includes an app called Response App a GoSafe and a Homesafe. So you’re safe at home as well as when you’re going out.
Why? Well, I think this is a really cool concept because of the fact that people are a lot more safe when they are alone. I think this makes it a lot more easier for old people to live a lot longer in their own. Furthermore I think it contributes on the fact that there is a huge shortage on home care in The Netherlands. And Phillips isn’t ready with this concept. They are really busy to develop more of this things. This concept really fits in the two trends; technologization and togetherness. Because it brings people who need help together through an online app and technical stuff.
